Water tanks are great for capturing that free water that falls from the sky. In areas where town water is available, water from water tanks can be used for non-potable purposes, such as, flashing the toilet, washing clothes and of course watering the veggie garden.

Electric vehicles or EVs are slowly making their way into Australian garages.  More models are becoming available and over the last year we have seen a record number of EVs being purchased by households keen to reduce their transport carbon footprint.

Australia leads the world in per-capita uptake of solar power and in 2021 we again saw a record number of new PV installations on our rooftops.  Not only are we installing more, but the average size of the PV array is getting bigger too!

Our appliances are getting more efficient, but we are installing more of them.  From fridges to TVs many households now have multiple appliances of the same type.  Every additional appliance we add to our homes will increase the overall energy consumption of our home.
